Akademi ödülü, SAG ve BAFTA Ödülü sahibi, Altın Küre, Tony ve Emmy ödülü adayı Amerikalı sinema ve tiyatro oyuncusu.

Walken, Queens New York'da doğmuştur. Babası Alman, annesi ise İskoçya göçmenidir. Methodist kilisesi geleneklerine göre büyümüştür. Üniversite eğitimine başlamış ancak mezun olamamıştır.

İlk olarak televizyonda çocuk oyuncu olarak görev almıştır. İlk çıkış filmi 1971 yılında Sean Connery ile oynadığı The Anderson Tapes olmuştur. İlk başrol oyununu ise The Mind Snatchers filmi ile yapmıştır. 1977 yılında Akademi ödülü sahibi Annie Hall isimli filmde rol almıştır.

Akademi Ödülünü, 1979 yılında en iyi yardımcı erkek oyuncu dalında, The Deer Hunter filmi ile aldı. 2002 yılında Catch Me If You Can filmi ile bir kez daha ödüle aday gösterilmiştir. Walken, 1953 yılından itibaren yüzü aşkın yapımda görev almış ve çeşitli ödüllere uzanmıştır.

2006 yılında açılan bir internet sayfasında ABD Başkan adayı olduğu yazmaktaydı. Bu olay yalanlandı ve site kapandı. Christopher, aynı zamanda Saturday Night Live skeçlerinde de yer almıştır.

1969 yılından beri Georgianne Walken ile evli olan sanatçının çocuğu yoktur.
