Televizyon dizisi Breaking Bad'de Gus Fring karakterindeki performansı ile dikkat çeken oyuncu, NBC kanalında yayınlanmış, bilim-kurgu dizisi Revolution'da Binbaşı Tom Neville karakterini canlandırmıştır.
1958 yılında Kopenhag'da İtalyan bir baba ve Afro-Amerikan bir annenin çocuğu olarak dünyaya geldi. Esposito ailesi Manhattan'a yerleşinceye dek Avrupa'da yaşadı.
