İngiliz oyuncu.

Tam adı Helena Bonham Carter'dır. Oyuncu olarak ilk çıkışını K. M. Peyton'ın A Pattern of Roses adlı eserinin televizyon uyarlamasında, sinema kariyerindeki çıkışını ise Lady Jane filminde başrolde yer alarak gerçekleştirdi. Manzaralı Oda, Dövüş Kulübü, Zoraki Kral ve Harry Potter serisinde canlandırdığı Bellatrix Lestrange gibi çeşitli rollerde oynadı. Yönetmen Tim Burton'la sık sık işbirliği içinde bulundu ve onunla birlikte Maymunlar Gezegeni, Büyük Balık, Ölü Gelin, Charlie'nin Çikolata Fabrikası, Sweeney Todd: Fleet Sokağının Şeytan Berberi, Alis Harikalar Diyarında ve Karanlık Gölgeler gibi filmlerde çalıştı. 2012'de Büyük Umutlar'da Bayan Havisham rolünü üstlendi, Sefiller'de Madame Thénardier ve Sindirella'da (2015) Peri Anne karakterlerini canlandırdı.

Güvercinin Kanatları'ndaki Kate Croy ve Zoraki Kral'daki Anne Kraliçe rolleriyle iki kez Akademi Ödülü'ne aday gösterilmiş Bonham Carter; yedi Altın Küre adaylığı, bir En İyi Kadın Oyuncu Uluslararası Emmy Ödülü adaylığı, üç Primetime Emmy Ödülü adaylığı, bir BAFTA ödülü ve bir Screen Actors Guild ödülü elde etti. 2012 yılında oyunculuk dalında hizmet verenler yeni yıl onur listesinde Britanya İmparatorluk Nişanı Komutan rütbesi (CBE) kazandı ve 22 Şubat 2012'de Buckingham Sarayı'nda Kraliçe II. Elizabeth'ten ödülü aldı.

Şubat 2014'te Britanya Başbakanı David Cameron, Bonham Carter'ın Britanya'nın yeni ulusal Holokost Komisyonu'na atandığını duyurdu.
